Finance and accounting always need the data somewhere else. Exporting large ranges through an interactive panel either times out or degrades the panel for everyone else on it.

Queued generation
Large exports are produced on the async queue rather than in the request cycle, so a year of transactions does not hold a web worker.
Scheduled delivery
Recurring extracts run on a schedule and are delivered to the people who need them without anyone remembering to press a button.
Scope-respecting
Exports obey the same tenant, merchant and permission scope as the screens they come from — an export cannot widen someone's access.
